Hi, I’m Derek
Hey, a technical artist out of Queens, New York.
I mostly have been making real-time visuals and shader-driven effects, usually for interactive installations and live performance.
I’ve been fortunate enough that Some of that work has shown up at the Met, Lincoln Center, and a few other places. Every project is a new excuse to figure out how to make this grid of pixels do something beautiful.
Right now I’m doing research how to better bridge the world of gen-ai with shaders/effects and 3d engines…
